Undergraduate Study

Advising

Advisers in the Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health Major and the Nutrition Minor can introduce you to opportunities available in our programs. As you narrow your choice of major or minor, work with us to plan and prepare for entry.  After you’ve declared the major or minor, engage with your academic community and prepare for graduation and beyond.

We recognize the transformative educational experiences, both inside and outside the classroom, that make up the Husky Experience and we organize our time around the activities that support your lifelong learning, leadership, career development, cultural understanding, community engagement, and health/wellness.

Connect with an Adviser

  • Information sessions  – Prospective students are encouraged to attend an information session to learn more about the major and minor. Check our calendar for upcoming session dates and times.
  • Drop-in advising – Prospective students with quick questions can attend our drop-in sessions which are held weekly during the autumn, winter, and spring quarters. Check our calendar for upcoming session dates and times.
  • Email – Current and prospective students can send questions to our advising team at ugnutr@uw.edu. If you are a UW student, be sure to include your student ID number.
  • Meet one-on-one with an adviser – Book an advising appointment online, and choose an in-person, Zoom, or phone appointment.
