SNAP Policy Changes During COVID-19

Policy makers made several changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to mitigate rising food insecurity related to economic and social challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. This brief outlines the various policy changes as well as their timeline and impact, and also highlights specific racial inequities and disparities related to food insecurity and SNAP programming.
