Tori provides support for a variety of projects related to health in early learning settings. She is a Washington State Certified STARS Trainer and provides trainings on nutrition, physical activity, screen time, and breastfeeding topics for early learning providers in the state. Research interests include: promoting nutrition and physical activity in early learning settings, supporting meaningful mealtime environments in early learning settings (family style dining), farm to early care and education, health and status of early learning workforce and how it relates to quality of care of children, policies and environmental supports for breastfeeding, and increasing meaningful fruit and vegetable access to low-income populations.
