Dr. Chelsea Rose is a research coordinator for the Seattle Obesity Study III. Prior to working at UW, she received diverse training as an undergraduate at Bucknell University studying anthropology, and in graduate school, where she earned her PhD in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University.
This interdisciplinary training has provided her with a unique perspective she applies to her research, which focuses on obesity prevention and dietary behaviors throughout the life course. Her current work focuses on social and built environment factors that influence diet and weight outcomes over time. Research interests include the social, cultural, and environmental factors impacting dietary patterns, weight status, and health outcomes through the life course.
