New faculty positions available in Nutrition and Food Systems at UW

The Nutritional Sciences Program within the School of Public Health at the University of Washington (UW) invites applications for two full-time (100% FTE) tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor and associate professor or professor with an anticipated start date as early as summer 2022. 

Specific areas in which the program is interested in expanding research, mentorship, and instruction include, but are not limited to, international nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, health equity and diet-related disparities, sustainable food systems, and environmental nutrition.

The UW Nutritional Sciences Program is an interdisciplinary academic program in the School of Public Health composed of core, interdisciplinary, and clinical faculty who are nationally and internationally recognized experts with connections spanning a wide range of disciplines including epidemiology, environmental and occupational health sciences, health systems, medicine, engineering, and urban design and planning. At the undergraduate level, the Program offers a major in Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health, a Nutrition minor, and partners with the School’s Public Health – Global Health major to offer an optional nutrition emphasis. The Program’s graduate offerings include MPH, MS, and PhD degree programs and a Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics (Registered Dietitian (RD) training program). Program faculty have broad opportunities for collaboration across the School’s five departments, UW schools and colleges, and other campus and community partners. The Nutritional Sciences Program is situated in Raitt Hall located in the historic and vibrant Quad area of the University of Washington’s Seattle campus.
