Early Learning STARS Training

Free online trainings for early care and education professionals.

About the Series

Nourished & Active in Early Learning logo

Healthy child development depends on eating nutritious food and being physically active every day. This is especially important during early childhood when young children are rapidly building their brains and bodies.

The Center for Public Health Nutrition, in partnership with the Washington State Department of Health, has developed a series of STARS accredited online training for early learning providers to support environments that make it easy for young children to be active and develop healthy eating habits. Training Site Access and Updates

Trainings are accessed through the new Nourished & Active in Early Learning Training site. To access trainings, you will need to create a free account on the training site.

We are in the process of updating all of our trainings and will be publishing them here as they become available in early 2020.

Updated trainings include new features such as automated certificates, interactive discussion boards, and connections to Early Achievers. You can also log out of the training and save your progress. “Let’s Move Child Care” trainings will be updated to “Healthy Kids, Healthy Future”. The previous versions of our trainings were retired in December 2019.
